In memory of a kite maker and friend who sadly passed away far too early.

The blue elephant, a line laundry modelled on the elephant from the WDR programme ‘Die Sendung mit der Maus’ (The Show with the Mouse), was created on his sewing machine. I have recreated two of these elephants and am very proud to now have three of these ‘little animals’ flying on my line.

In due course, I will share the whole story behind the blue elephant, the builder’s thoughts behind its creation and the behaviour of some ‘kite friends’.
