After I had paid close attention to the correct clamping when reassembling, the new cotton cody flew quite excellently. Of course, you have to take into account that we also had wonderful conditions: onshore wind with 3-4 Bft, everything flies there. But I am very satisfied that it stood almost motionless in one place in

The short-winged cotton Cody has successfully completed its first flight. With an overcast sky over Fanø, it rose almost flawlessly in 4 Bft. I adjusted the bridle a little because the kite was heavier than expected and I still need to make a few fine adjustments. But I’m very happy with it to start with.

In a post from 23.03.2016 I expressed at the time the intention to complete a cody made of cotton as a new project until the kite festival in Fanø/DK in June. To my apology I have to say that I did not write the year to it. Today, more than 7 years later, I can

July is coming to an end and despite full-bodied promises I still haven’t taken any aerial photos. That means, despite the prevailing temperatures, I have to go out into the countryside and fly a kite in weak winds and take a few pictures. Maybe the wind is not so bad and I am just spoiled

Today I’m showing a few more aerial shots to show something more of Fanø. The kite meeting has officially started, the weather has improved enormously and the beach is filled with kites. I will soon write a separate article about the kites and the line decorations that are used nowadays in contrast to earlier times,
